SUPPLYING YOUR IMAGE
You can either upload an image direct to our site, send us a file or send us an original print for us to scan. We can extract your image from CD, DVD, Floppy, Zip, USB stick & all types of memory card.
UPLOADING:
Our system allows almost any file type to be uploaded. We suggest the use of RGB (red, green & blue) JPEGs, as the system will automatically generate an online thumbnail. However, other compatible formats include Tiffs. Eps’s & Picts. The best resolution to send your image is 150dpi at print size.
ORIGINALS:
If your are supplying your image as a photo or negative it’s best to send it in a hard backed envelope & if it’s irreplaceable please ensure to send it by guaranteed delivery. We will return your image with your completed order. If you’re sending a transparency, it’s useful to include a print of the image so we can colour-match the final print as closely as possible to the original.
SCANNING:
Our professional scanning machinery ensures that the final print matches your image in terms of colour matching, tone & contrast. We are able to correct the effect of dust & scratches as well as film grain texture and other surface contamination such as fingerprints.
PROOFING:
Once we have received your image, we process it to match your order & can forward a proof by email for you to “sign-off” if requested. When we feel your image is not a high enough resolution to print at your desired size we will let you know before processing the order.
